Three VT men are facing multiple drug charges after MA State Police stop the trio for a traffic violation on Monday night. Springfield MA Officer Dan Cintron stopped to see if assistance was needed. During the stop Trooper Theodore Tudryn, noticed a small bag of crack cocaine. He opened the door and ordered the driver, Justin Morgan 24 of Newport VT out. Morgan refused and took off dragging the officer alongside the car. While his body was, half in the car the Tudryn fought for control of the vehicle and put the car in park. Morgan then took off again and after another struggle and assistance from the Officer Cintron, they were able to stop the car and Cintron pulled Morgan from the window and onto the pavement.
Passengers Joseph A. Peets 30 of Morriville VT and Robert Fitzgerald 26 of Eden VT and Morgan were found with 800 bags of Heroin in their possession.
Morgan was held on $50,000 bail, and Fitzgerald and Peets were each held on $25,000 bail, pending arraignment in Springfield District Court.
