Water Quality Day in Vermont

water qualityOn Friday, Hartford VT is having a Water Quality Day. May 27 was declared Water Quality Day by Governor Shuman to foster a deeper appreciation of Vermont’s waters and the astonishing systems that keep it clean and safe.

Rick Kenney, Supervisor of Hartford’s water treatment plant said they held their Water Quality Day in 2014 but somehow 2015 was passed over. Kenny said that 10 water treatment plants throughout VT are participating in the event.

The public is invited to drop by between 9 am and 1 pm. Kenny said there have displays set up.

Green Mountain Water Environment Association organized the tours for all 10 towns’ water facilities. A list of the facilities follows.
