NH Senate Race Heats Up

NH primaryThe race for the NH State Senate seat in District 8 has heated up. Ruth Ward of Stoddard NH has entered the race. Ward joins retired aviation sales and marketing executive Jim Beard of Lempster on the Republican side and insuring a republican primary. Also running for the senate seat vacated by Jerry Little, is Democrat John Garvey of New London. Garvey is a lawyer and Law Professor at the University of New Hampshire.

Ward says she wants to take voters concerns to Concord.

Ward currently serves on Stoddard’s Planning Board says she plans a door-to-door campaign.

District 8 covers parts of Sullivan, Merrimack and Cheshire Counties and includes the towns of Acworth, Antrim, Bennington, Bradford, Croydon, Deering, Francestown, Goshen, Grantham, Hillsborough, Langdon, Lempster, Marlow, Newbury, New London, Newport, Springfield, Stoddard, Sunapee, Sutton, Unity, Washington, Weare,  and Windsor
