A tractor trailer and its load of lumber rolled over on the exit 5 off-ramp from Interstate 89 southbound in Hopkinton at approximately 9:30 a.m. on July 12, 2016.
It’s estimated that 80-100 gallons of diesel fuel leaked onto the roadway.
The exit ramp is closed to facilitate the crash investigation, clean-up, vehicle inspection and removal. The NH Department of Environmental Services, Hopkinton Fire and Rescue and troopers from Troop G and D barracks are currently on-scene.
The driver, 29-year-old Jean Sarrasin of Quebec, employed by Fidele Tremblay Transport Inc., was uninjured.
Excessive speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
