Man Found in Possession of Stolen Handgun

robert-warringtonOn Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at approximately 1:35PM, Lebanon Police Officers responded to Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital for a report of a male subject who had been walking through the parking lot and was seen entering a parked vehicle. The caller advised that the male exited the vehicle a short time later and did not believe he owned the car.
Responding officers observed the male walking on Alice Peck Day Drive and then he began to run behind some adjacent buildings. Officers were able to locate the male behind 111 Mascoma Street and when confronted, the male pulled a loaded .38 caliber revolver from his waistband and threw it on the ground. A subsequent investigation revealed that the male had just stolen the handgun from a vehicle in the parking lot of Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital. The male, identified as Robert T. Warrington, age 24, of White River Junction, Vermont, was arrested and charged with Theft of a Firearm, a Class A Felony, and Carrying a Loaded Handgun without a License, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Warrington was held on $25,000 cash bail and will appear in the Lebanon District Division, New Hampshire Second Circuit Court for arraignment today, September 7, 2016.
