Claremont Police are investigating two burglaries that may be related. Police say just before 3 am on Wed, someone smashed a glass entry door at the T-Bird Mini Mart on Charlestown Road and stole assorted cartons of cigarettes. The suspects were only in the store for a short time, but were captured on surveillance tape and police believe they headed north.
Later that morning police answered a burglary call at Head Start located on Charlestown Road and Kinney place. Someone had forced their way into the building, sometime between the night and morning hours and rummaged through the offices. It is believed a small amount of cash was stolen.
Police believe because of the close proximity of the burglaries that they are possibly related. Anyone who may have information about either of these incidents is encouraged to call the Claremont Police Department at 603-542-9538.
