Students and Faculty at Kimball Union Academy are mourning the loss of Janie Cozz who was one of the five teens killed on I-89 on Saturday. Cozz was a sophomore at the boarding school went home for the Columbus Day weekend.
Vermont prosecutors are calling the accident that they believe was caused by 36-year-old Steven Bourgoin a homicide. On Monday a judge issued an arrest warrant for Bourgoin for aggravated operation of a stolen vehicle and gross negligent operation for the secondary crash with the stolen cruiser. Charges for the crash that killed five teens are still pending. Bourgoin is currently unconscious and listed in critical condition at UVM Medical Center. Vermont State police want to speak to anyone who saw or interacted with him Saturday.
