Man Killed By Train in Claremont

claremont policeJust after 12:30 today, Claremont Emergency Services were called to respond to the rail road tracks between the Claremont Junction and Grissom Lane for a report of    a man who appeared to deliberately walked in front of the south bound Amtrak train and was hit. Upon arrival emergency responders confirmed the individual hit by the train was deceased. The incident is currently under investigation by the Claremont Police Department and the Amtrak Police. Identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
