Dartmouth Students Expelled for Fire Seek Signatures

dartmouthgreenTwo Dartmouth students were suspended after admitting that they caused the four-alarm fire in Morton Hall on Oct 1.  Sebastian Lim and Daniel Ro admitted to causing the blaze in an online petition on the Care2 petition site. The college expelled them for posing “a threat to the community at large.”

The NH Fire Marshall’s Office determined the fire was caused from a hibachi left unattended on the roof. Lim, and Ro wrote “While we made a mistake that could have potentially injured people, it was just that a mistake. We implore you to take a minute to consider what occurred.”

So far the ex-Dartmouth Students have collected 1,023 signature of the 2,000 they hope to receive before presenting the petition to Vice Provost Ameer. You can view the petition by going here
