The town of Hanover is warning residents not to open any pdf file from their Director of Assessing – Dave Muller. The town’s IT Director, Corey Stevens reports that an employee’s email was hacked late Friday afternoon and is emailing from Mr. McMullen’s email.
IT Director Stevens says “If you receive an email with any type of attachment, whether from the Town or anyone else you know, if you are not expecting it please either just delete the email or call the person to ask if they meant to send this to you. You may also be doing them a favor by letting them/us know early on that an email account has been spoofed.”
Anyone with questions regarding emails from the town can call Cory Stevens at 603-640-3222.
