Shortly before 11:00 am on Sunday, Troopers from the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks responded to a report of a vehicle off the road on 103 in the Proctorsville Gulf, in the Town of Cavendish, VT. When Troopers arrived they identified the vehicle involved as a 2007 Subaru Legacy. The vehicle was not damaged as a result of driving off the roadway. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Owen D. Spath, age 24, of Poultney, VT. Spath submitted to a preliminary breath test and the result was a .189%. Spath was subsequently taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence and was transported to the Westminster State Police Barracks where he was processed. Spath was cited to appear in Windsor County Superior Court on January 17, 2017 at 0800. Spath was released on citation.
