Shooting of Alstead Man Ruled Homicide

NH State PoliceCheshire County attorney Christopher McLaughlin, State Police Colonel Christopher J. Wagner and Alstead Police Chief Robert Bromley, announce that an investigation is ongoing into a death in Alstead, NH.

On January 7, 2017, at approximately 2018 hours, The New Hampshire State Police responded to 22 March Hill road for a Suspicious Death Investigation.  Police say the victim was Robert Wesley  57, of 22 March Hill Road in Alstead, NH.

On January 9, 2017, at approximately 1:00 PM an autopsy was performed at the Office of the State Medical Examiner’s Office.  It was determined that Robert Wesley died from a single gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was listed as homicide. This investigation remains active and ongoing and there is no immediate danger to the public as a result of Mr. Wesley’s death.

Investigators:  State Police Troop C, State Police Major Crime Unit, Cheshire County Attorney’s Office, State Medical Examiner’s Office.  The Walpole New Hampshire Police department provided assistance with police response.
