Tilton Woman Indicted for Ambulance Theft


tiltonA Tilton woman was indicted for trying to steal an ambulance. A Merrimack County Grand Jury indicted Diane Lang, 47, of Tilton for trying to steal a Barnstead Fire Rescue ambulance, this past January as it idled at a Concord gas station. Lang is charged with two counts of attempted theft by unauthorized taking and one count of receiving stolen property. Lang drove from Tilton to the Cumberland Farms gas station on North Main Street in a stolen Toyota Corolla. After Lang took the wheel of the ambulance it rolled and hit two parked cars.  There were no  injuries but the ambulance received minor bumper damage.
