Warner’s planning board voted Monday night to give the Town of Hopkinton and the Central NH Regional Planning Commission a voice as abutters for a proposed indoor shooting range and convenience store. After hearing from a dozen of officials and residents from Warner, Hopkinton, Weare and Concord the Board decided the project had the potential for impact on the region and voted to postpone the public hearing for another two weeks.
This is the second delay for shooting range proposed by Dragonfly Holdings LLC. The first hearing was delayed for two weeks after a complaint by abutter Madge Tech Inc. Madge Tech Inc. stated they were not notified of the March Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) hearing where a special exception for the project was granted. The ZBA has decided not to rehear the application. Warner Planning Board Chairman Ben Frost said Madge Tech has appealed the decision to NH Supreme Court.
The next meeting of the Planning Board is scheduled for May 1 at 7:00 pm in the Lower Meeting room in the Warner Town Hall.
