Putney VT Men Charged in Threat to College

Two Putney VT men were arrested on Wednesday after leaving a threatening message at Landmark College in Putney VT.  Vermont State Police say the message was written on a dry easel board on the college campus. Detectives quickly focused on Lucas Wiener 24, and Samuel Ripper 22 who admitted to writing the message.  According to police there is no indication of a credible threat to public safety or the safety of Landmark College students and staff. Both men are students at the college. They were charged with False Public Alarms and issued citations to appear in Windham Court on May30, to answer the charges.
