Ludlow Man Arrested for Multiple Crimes

On Tuesday morning Troopers with the Vermont State Police, Westminster barracks investigated several reported thefts in the Putney and Westminster area. During the investigations a vehicle reported stolen by the Town of Putney was located by a Trooper, was stopped and seized. A search warrant was granted and some of the contents of the vehicle were found to be stolen property. The operator of the vehicle at the time of the stop was identified as Justin Clouart 35, of Ludlow VT.  Clouart was suspected of being impaired. Clouart was arrested for refusal, operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, burglary, possession of stolen property, and violation of conditions of release. Clouart is being held without bail at the Southern State Correctional Facility.  He is scheduled for arraignment at12:30 pm on April 26, 2017 in Windham Criminal Court.
