During the afternoon and evening of April 27th, 2017 the Keene Police Department, New Hampshire State Police, and the Cheshire County Sheriff’s Department conducted an enhanced criminal patrol; specifically for those involved in the sale of controlled drugs. In preparation for the April 27th operation surveillance was conducted and additional arrests made as indicated below.
Misty L Squires 30 of Carroll Street, Keene
On April 25th, 2017 at 1515HRS Misty Squires was observed in behavior consistent with a drug transaction in the Walmart parking lot. An arrest warrant was issued earlier for possession of a controlled drug (cocaine), which had occurred on April 5th, 2017. Further, a detention order had been issued for Squires due to her absconding from probation. Squires was arrested without incident. A search of Squires person subsequent to her arrest resulted in an additional charge of possession of suspected heroin. Squires was held at the Cheshire County Jail and scheduled for arraignment before both the 8th Circuit Court and Cheshire Superior Court.
Jessica L Burns 32 of Harrison Street, Keene
On April 25th, 2017 while Keene detectives were conducting surveillance for controlled drug sales they observed a subject who was wanted for a violation of probation, that being Jessica Burns. Burns was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Cheshire County Jail in lieu of a “no bail” order. Burns was convicted on March 7th, 2016 in Coos County for possession of heroin.
On April 27th, 2017 law enforcement officers from the Keene Police, Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office and New Hampshire State Police were surveilling drug activity in the Church Street area. An arrest warrant had been issued for Charles Gladding charging him with two felony sales of controlled drug, crack-cocaine, which had occurred on April 25th and April 26th (2017). Officers identified Charles Gladding as he exited his residence and walked a short distance away; he was approached and arrested without incident. A search warrant for his residence had also been issued and when executed additional evidence was seized including suspected crack-cocaine. Gladding was held in lieu of bail and will be arraigned before the Cheshire Superior Court during the afternoon of April 28th, 2017.
Wallace Clark 50 of Wyman Road, Keene
On April 27th, 2017 law enforcement officers from the Keene Police, Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office and New Hampshire State Police were surveilling drug activity in the greater Keene area. A motor vehicle stop took place on Route 9 which resulted in the seizure of heroin. Clark was charged with conspiracy to distribute controlled drugs and was held in lieu of bail and will be arraigned before the Cheshire Superior Court during the afternoon of April 28th, 2017.
Steven L Hale 50 of Granite Street, Troy
As a result of a motor vehicle incident on April 27th, 2017 Steven Hale was arrested for possession of suspected heroin. Hale was taken into custody without incident. Hale was released on PR bail and is scheduled to appear before the Cheshire Superior Court and 8th Circuit Keene Court on May 11th, 2017.
On April 27th, 2017 Brian Harvey was arrested via an arrest warrant charging him with the crime of maintaining a public nuisance, a residence where drugs are used, a misdemeanor charge. The date alleged for this crime being April 5th, 2017. Brian Harvey was released on PR bail and will be arraigned before the 8th Circuit Keene Court on June 7th, 2017.
