Tractor Trailer Crash in Putney Blamed on Rain

Heavy rains were responsible for a tractor-trailer crash on I-91 in Putney on Friday evening.  Vermont State Police said Piotr Paczka was driving a Freightliner Tractor with a trailer on I-91 south when he lost control of the vehicle due to heavy rain. The Tractor-Trailer jackknifed into a guardrail and then crossed into the passing lane. The vehicle was a total loss and towed from the scene.  Mr. Paczka had no injuries.
