Father Indicted In Joey’s Fire

A Sullivan County Grand Jury handed down an indictment on Arson for a Claremont man for allegedly setting fire to his son’s restaurant on September 9, 2014.

According to the indictment Santo F. Lampiasi, 66 of Claremont started a fire or an explosion at 398 Main Street knowing the building was occupied.  Lampiasi son Santo J. Lampiasi owned the restaurant known as Joey’s on the River Restaurant.  The building was a total loss and the NH Fire Marshal’s Office was charged with investigating the blaze.  Firefighters arrived on the scene shortly before 9:00 pm and stayed on scene throughout the night putting out hot spots. No cause of the blaze was given, and The New Hampshire Fire Marshal’s office was charged with investigating the fire.
