CT Man Arrested for DUI Drugs after a Report from VT AOT Driver

Springfield VT – Vermont State Police in Westminster investigated a report from a VT AOT driver who witnessed the operator of a rental box truck snorting drugs and then driving off from a Springfield convenience store.

A BOL (Be on the lookout) was issued and the truck was stopped by a VT DMVInspector on I 91 southbound at mile marker 3 in Vernon.  State Troopers screened the driver roadside for impairment and determined that the subject was under the influence of drugs.  The driver was identified as Keith Kelsey, 46 of Wolcott, CT.

A search of the vehicle revealed that Kelsey was also in possession of a misdemeanor amount of heroin.

Kelsey was released on a citation and is scheduled to be in court to answer the above charges on August 14, 2018.
